Performance Anne-Maartje Lemereis & Lize Bastiaens

Lize Bastiaens (11 years old) can call herself the very first Children’s Composer of the Netherlands. This mentoring trajectory is a project that Anne-Maartje Lemereis carries out in her role as Composer Laureate of the Netherlands 2024-2025. During this year, Anne-Maartje teaches her pupil Lize all the ins and outs of the wonderful world of composition.

At New Music Conference they present themselves during a short duo performance of Lize’s work. This performance takes place directly after the New Composers Pitch, the traditionally closing of the conference day.
