Maya Fridman, last year’s Artist in Residence of November Music and speaker at New Music Conference, was invited as a composer by Bang on a Can for their Summer Music Festival near New York. A new ensemble composition of hers was rehearsed during the Summer Festival and was subsequently heard during the closing LOUD Weekend. Maya Fridman was also involved in several concerts during Summer Festival as a cellist and singer. In the interview we had with her, she talks in detail about this new, American step in her career.
