Exchange inspiration
New Music Conference
November 8th at November Music

Do you feel at home with November Music’s festival programming?

Can’t get enough of contemporary composed music, jazz, new world music, music theatre, visual music, electronics & soundscapes and sound installations?

And you are a music professional?

Come join us. New Music Conference will take place at Verkadefabriek, the cultural hotspot in November Music’s hometown of 27 years, ‘s-Hertogenbosch. One full day of inspiring presentations, pitches, workshops and panel discussions with international reach. The topics at hand will be of interest to composers, performing artists, programmers, publishers, record labels, managers and booking agents.

Moreover, New Music Conference is not meant to be just about listening. Delegates are invited to share their knowledge and experience, and build their international professional network – in the official, carefully supervised matchmaking sessions or simply in the restaurant, bars and corridors of Verkadefabriek.

New Music Conference will be opened with a keynote lecture by the author Tim Rutherford-Johnson.

He will consider the historical framework of his book ‘Music after the Fall – Modern Composition and Culture since 1989’; how far this framework has been challenged since the book’s publication by Brexit, Trump and other recent events; and if and how these events might affect the history of music after 2016.

More parts of the conference programme will be announced on this website in the weeks to come.
