New Composers Pitch

Young composers are presenting themselves and their work in the final hour of New Music Conference. Some of them are still studying at the Dutch conservatories, some have just graduated, all have been brought forward by their former teachers. Welcome them to the stage! Let’s see how they manage to pitch their art. A professional jury will discuss the presentations. The composer who makes a lasting impression will be rewarded with a Buma New Music Incentive of 250 euro.

The participants and the jury of the New Composers Pitch 2024 will be announced later.

During the jury deliberation, Composer Laureate of the Netherlands Anne-Maartje Lemereis and Children’s Composer of the Netherlands Lize Bastiaens will perform together with a piece for piano and violin, written by Lize.
