Simon Steen-Andersen is a composer and stage director from Denmark, living in Berlin. His approach to musical performance and the concert situation is multidisciplinary, resulting in works situated between the categories of music, performance, theatre, choreography and film. Programmed during November Music is his performance Inszenierte Nacht, which he wrote for the German Ensemble Ascolta. In this, the composer himself takes charge of live electronics and video. The result is a surprising and groundbreaking ode to the classical night music of Bach, Schumann, Mozart, Chopin, and Ravel. Thanks to Ensemble Ascolta and Simon’s vision, these imperishable classics are given a new stage.

The interview will be conducted by Co de Kloet (presenter, producer, Concertzender, NL).
Co (1959) is a musician, composer, producer, and radio personality who works for Dutch radio station Concertzender and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
